Your Chance to Harness the Spiritual Power of Short Stories
Metaphysical Mind #43
Welcome to the latest issue of Metaphysical Mind. The focus for this issue will be spiritual short stories. Some time ago I sent out an email letting you know about Chris Cade and his website Spiritual-Short-Stories.com.
I have recently been inspired by the new program he created titled “How to Write Short Stories for Spiritual Growth”. I have also written a brief review of this program, which I have included in this issue of Metaphysical Mind.
I honestly believe many spiritual seekers would benefit from the spiritual practice of writing short stories, so make sure you take some time to read the review I wrote below. Also before we get into it, I want you to know that I am preparing a special gift for you, for more information please don’t forget to read the PS at the bottom of this email.
This ezine issue will be organized as follows:
1. Quotes to Live By
2. Crossing the Water by Sri Ramakrishna
3. Recommended Resource: How to Write Short Stories for Spiritual Growth
1. Quotes to Live By
“Radio put technology into storytelling and made it sick. TV killed it. Then you were locked into somebody else’s sighting of that story. You no longer had the benefit of making that picture for yourself, using your imagination. Storytelling brings back that humanness that we have lost with TV. You talk to children and they don’t hear you. They are television addicts. Mamas bring them home from the hospital and drag them up in front of the set and the great stare-out begins.” -- Jackie Torrence
“Nobody has any conscience about adding to the improbabilities of a marvelous tale.” -- Nathaniel Hawthorne
“I learned to make my mind large, as the universe is large, so that there is room for paradoxes. Petals are bone marrow; pearls come from oysters. The dragon lives in the sky, ocean, marshes, and mountains; and the mountains are also its cranium. Its voice thunders and jingles like copper pans. It breathes fire and water; and sometimes the dragon is one, sometimes many.” -- Maxine Hong Kingston
2. Crossing the Water by Sri Ramakrishna

A farmer's daughter duty was to carry fresh milk to customers in various villages had, one of whom was a priest. To reach his house, the milkmaid had to cross a good-sized stream. People crossed it by a sort of ferry raft, for a small fee.
One day the priest, who performed worship daily with the offering to God of fresh milk, finding it arrived very late, scolded the poor woman. "What can I do?" she said, "I start out early from my house, but I have to wait a long time for the boatman to come."
Then the priest said (pretending to be serious), "What! People have even walked across the ocean by repeating the name of God, and you can't cross this little river?" This milkmaid took him very seriously. From then on she brought the priest's milk punctually every morning. He became curious about it and asked her how it was that she was never late anymore.
"I cross the river repeating the name of the Lord," she replied, "just as you told me to do, without waiting for the ferry." The priest didn't believe her, and asked, "Can you show me this, how you cross the river on foot?" So they went together to the water and the milkmaid began to walk over it. Looking back, the woman saw that the priest had started to follow her and was floundering in the water.
"Sir!" she cried, "You are uttering the name of God, yet all the while you are holding up your clothes from getting wet. That is not trusting in God!"
This story was written by Sri Ramakrishna.
3. How to Write Short Stories for Spiritual Growth Review by Jason Randhawa
Chris Cade has put together an excellent resource for all journeyers. Whether you plan on being a best-selling author or just writing stories for yourself, this book will accelerate your spiritual journey. I recently took the time to go through his “How to Write Short Stories for Spiritual Growth” E-Book and Bonus Package.
After reading this book, I realized how spiritually powerful writing short stories can be. I discovered how spiritual short stories can be used to inspire and teach others. Not only helping yourself to grow in the process of writing, but also to help others grow through the process of reading. While at the same time, this book helped me to understand that not all spiritual stories are meant to be read.
For me personally, I understood that my purpose for writing was to send my personal message to the world. I now have a new tool for this through writing short spiritual stories that get my message across to the reader.
Even if you have never written a story in your life, Chris will help you to overcome any doubts or fears you may consciously or unconsciously have. I was really able to relate, as before I begin to write metaphysical articles for WhatIsMetaphysics.com, I was worried about if many people would find value in what I had written. I was even more afraid that I would not be able to communicate extensive metaphysical ideas into words. It wasn’t until I begin to write spiritual articles and get feedback from like-minded people who read them that these doubts begin to dissipate.
But probably my biggest worry of all was whether another author has already more effectively communicated my metaphysical message. Once again, I resolved this doubt simply by writing. As my spiritual writings were distributed on the internet, I realized that everyone has a different point of view. So there will always be a group of people who find that my writings deeply resonate with them. I have since received some amazing feedback and truly inspiring comments from people all over the world about my spiritual writing.
The thing about writing is, none of us are writers until we are actually writing. -- Chris Cade (quoted from the book)
Absolutely anybody can be a spiritual story writer. Not only can you be a spiritual writer, but your spiritual growth will probably be greatly affected by writing a few spiritual short stories. I truly believe that the process of creative spiritual writing outlined in this book, will be an amazing tool for developing stronger intuition.
Spiritual truth allows you to use writing as an exploratory tool into your own self and the Universe. -- Chris Cade (quoted from the book)
This E-Book comes with all the tools, resources, and information to get you started right away. To me, it seems more like a "How to Write Short Stories for Spiritual Growth" program rather than simply being an Ebook.
I was able to start writing my first spiritual short story the next day after going through the E-Book. I also have plans to write at least three more, and I just read the book yesterday! The bonuses that come with the E-Book are perfect to supplement the information contained in the book and in helping to further improve newly learned creative writing skills.
I am absolutely certain that any spiritual seeker will find tremendous insight within themselves simply by using the creative process explained in this book “How to Write Short Stories for Spiritual Growth”.
I hope you found this spiritual product review to be helpful, and even more importantly I hope you find Chris's program greatly accelerates your spiritual growth and creative intelligence...

PS The next issue of Metaphysical Mind will be on August 29th. That issue will contain my first spiritual short story I wrote titled “Being the Change” which was written after going through Chris’s Spiritual Writing Program.
I was planning on making that story a part of this issue, but it came out to be much longer than I was planning and it did not properly fit into this issue. I will dedicate the entire next issue to that spiritual story. You may not want to miss that issue as I am sure you will enjoy it, and I am very excited to get some feedback on it. The story was inspired by Ghandi’s philosophy and some recent experiences in my personal life including my father’s death and the deep connection I feel in nature.
